After Surgery
Your surgeon will provide post-operative instructions about diet, rest, exercise, and medications. The Center will provide you with a written summary of these instructions before you are discharged.
Plan to have someone stay with you for 24 hours following your procedure.
Since it is normal to feel drowsy after receiving anesthetic medications, we also recommend that you postpone the following activities for 24 hours after discharge:
- Driving and operating equipment
- Signing important papers
- Making significant decisions
- Drinking alcoholic beverages
Should you have any problems or concerns once you get home, please contact your physician.
A member of our staff will contact you the day after your procedure to check on your recovery and discuss any questions you may have. It is important to have someone checking in on you to ensure that you are feeling better.
We encourage you to share your experience at Palms Wellington Surgical Center with us. Please take a few moments to complete and submit our Patient Survey. For any more questions on post-operative care contact Palms Wellington Surgical Center in Royal Palm Beach, Florida, at (561) 792-7333.
